Here at Ortus Recruitment we have an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about working alongside children and helping to raise their academic attainment levels. This potential role, is in a mainstream Primary School, located in the London Borough of Southwark, Camberwell.  

Within the role, the successful candidate will be required to lead subject specific interventions in a primary school. You will be responsible for working alongside the class  teacher in preparing differentiated work for learners in the interventions. You will also be required to liaise with the subject leads to ensure the learners are receiving the necessary support. You will be tasked with delivering 1:1 and small group interventions on core subjects (English, Math, Reading, Science), you will be working with pupils across Year 3- Year 6 and working closely with Class Teachers and subject leads. You will need to liaise with Class Teachers and Parents/Carers to provide feedback on their academic progress.

Requirements:

• You will need to have a strong academic background, educated to degree level or equivalent
• You will need to have school based teaching assistant experience
• You will need to be passionate about working alongside children and dedicated to developing them academically
• You will need to be able to build positive rapports with both pupils and staff
• You will need to be able to commit to full time, long term work
• You will need TWO obtainable childcare relevant references
• You will need to have a clear Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment – £52

Intervention Lead | Camberwell | Primary School | £80 – £90 per day | PAYE
