KS1 Teaching Assistant | Camden | ASAP Start

Ortus Recruitment are looking for an experienced and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant. We require someone who is passionate about working with children and has a love for teaching.
Our client school in the London Borough of Camden is looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join their team. You will work closely with the classroom teacher to manage behaviour, engage students with the curriculum, supervise playtime and liaise with parents/carers.
You must also be able to confidently lead interventions in small groups to help raise attainment and support on a 1:1 basis with SEN children.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication skills and a positive attitude, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in a primary school setting and/or a degree in education, psychology, or other relevant subject is desirable, but not essential.

Teaching Assistant Expectations:
- Strong academic background
- Excellent communication skills
- Confidently lead interventions e.g. numeracy/literacy/reading
- Have a can-do attitude
- Ability to take initiative and be proactive
- Promote positive social, emotional and personal development
- 3+ months experience in a classroom setting
- Knowledge of the primary school curriculum
- Must be able to provide: an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one through Ortus Recruitment), proof of Right to Work in the UK and 2 references
