Responsibilities of a KS1 Teaching Assistant:

• Tailoring to the needs of pupils and adjust your teaching to their progress.
• Utilize a range of educational methods, such as storytelling and educational games, to instruct children.
• Observe each child’s behaviour to assist in enhancing their social skills and fostering self-confidence.
• Promote interaction among children and help them resolve occasional disputes.
• Assist children in cultivating their artistic and practical abilities through a well-structured curriculum, including activities like identifying shapes, numbers, and colours, and engaging in crafts.
• Monitor children’s progress and communicate this information to parents.
• Maintain a clean and organised classroom, ensuring it complies with health and safety standards.
