Ortus Recruitment are working with a fantastic mainstream primary school, in Raynes Park, and they are seeking a motivated, educated KS1 Teaching Assistant to commit to a full time – long term role. The ideal candidate should have more than 1 years’ experience working with children in a professional setting, and has excellent communication skills.

The role :

• Position : KS1 Teaching Assistant
• Location : Raynes Park
• Full time – long term
• Immediate start
• 8:30am-4:00pm (hour lunch break)

Responsibilities

• Support children with their learning and development during lessons or activities as directed by the class teacher.
• Assess and record children’s attainment and progress.
• Lead small group sessions and interventions according to teacher’s planning.
• Participate in Performance Management activities and also further training and professional development sessions as they arise.
• Demonstrate a good standard of written and spoken English and a good subject knowledge of Mathematics
