We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant to join our primary school in Sutton. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and other members of the support staff to provide tailored support to pupils in key stage 1.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons that are inclusive and differentiated for pupils in KS1
• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils in KS1
• Monitor and report on the progress of pupils in KS1
• Support the class teacher in managing and monitoring the behaviour of pupils in KS1
• Attend and contribute to meetings and training sessions as required
• Support the delivery of interventions, such as phonics and reading support

Requirements:

• Experience working with pupils in KS1 in a primary school setting
• A good understanding of the curriculum and expectations for pupils in KS1
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• A good level of IT literacy
• A commitment to ongoing professional development
• A flexible and adaptable approach to work

This is a full-time, term-time only position. The salary will be commensurate with experience.
