Ortus recruitment has a new opening for an experienced KS2 Classroom Assistant to assist our partnered mainstream primary school as a General Teaching Assistant. The primary school is based in Clapham, has a ‘Good’ Ofsted report and they require a candidate who will be available immediately and for the next academic year. If you believe you have the skills necessary to support a year 4 class, this is a great opportunity to secure a role in a forward-thinking primary school.

The Role:

• General Teaching Assistant
• Monday – Friday (No Weekends)
• Working Hours: 08:30 – 16:00 (6.5 hrs / 30 minutes break)
• Supporting a KS2 as a General Teaching Assistant
• Immediate/ September Start

Requirements:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced individual who holds a graduate degree in a core subject or a CACHE Level 2 or 3 qualification. Previous professional experience working with children is essential, and while experience with SEN is desirable, it is not mandatory. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to build positive relationships, exhibit excellent time management and organizational skills, remain calm and objective in challenging situations, and have a genuine passion for working with vulnerable pupils. We also welcome applicants with degrees beyond the core subjects or relevant qualifications in the field of child development.
