This full-time role involves supporting a child in a Year 5 class with challenging behaviour. Trials will be held throughout the last term, so availability is essential up till July 2024.

Requirements: To be considered for this role, you must have:

• An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or a willingness to process one through Ortus Recruitment
• Two obtainable childcare relevant references
• A recent graduate status
• A minimum Grade C in GCSE English and Math
• Availability to work full-time: Monday – Friday (8:30am – 4pm)

Note: We welcome applicants with degrees beyond this or relevant qualifications for working with children.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

We are seeking someone who:

• Has experience working with children in roles such as coaching, nannying, or tutoring
• Possesses a ‘Can do’ attitude and a passion for helping children develop life skills
• Is skilled at building positive rapport with both staff and students
• Can start immediately and commit to full-time, long-term work

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

• Support a child in a Year 5 class and assist with other classroom tasks alongside the Class Teacher
• Conduct 1:1 intervention with the child to enhance their learning
• Assist with administrative tasks such as marking class/homework and managing reading diaries
