Ortus Recruitment are currently working on behalf of a small bilingual Independent school in Hammersmith, who are seeking an experienced teacher to take a KS2 class, with leadership responsibilities, for English curriculum. Interviews are taking place ASAP.

This is a unique setting with only 60 children across the whole school and class sizes of 6 – 9 pupils. It’s a Bilingual school with over 15 languages spoken, so the successful candidate will be teaching in the English part of the school so must be fluent in English. An additional language and/or a strong interest in languages would also be an advantage.

The small class sizes make the role very attractive in terms of workload, and as this is an Independent school QTS is not a requirement, although teaching and UK curriculum knowledge is, along with leadership experience. The school have a wonderful community feel, in which colleagues are very supportive of one another, teachers also have a huge level of autonomy and control in comparison with other settings.

The starting salary will be between £40,000 – £44,000.
