ORTUS RECRUITMENT are looking for a proactive and assertive individual with KS2 classroom experience to join the KS2 team in an inclusive Primary School in the London Borough of Camden. This role requires someone who can provide a safe and stimulating learning environment and manage behaviour effectively.

The school is located in the London Borough of Camden with an abundance of shops, restaurants, parks and transportation links within walking distance to ensure easy accessibility from door-to-door.

You will be aided by a lovely and supportive Senior Leadership Team, who will always be on hand. As well as this, the school offer CPD courses and training when necessary to help further your career and for those deemed most suitable, there is the opportunity to be placed on the school’s Teacher Training Programme.

As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for the children’s wellbeing and ensuring they are reaching their full potential regardless of background and ability. You will need to work on a 1:1 basis with SEN children as well as leading interventions in small groups to raise attainment. It is important to be patient and empathetic in order to build successful and positive rapports with the students.

In a more general capacity, your role will include working alongside the classroom teacher to manage behaviour, supervise lunch/play times, keep the classroom organised and liaise with parents when necessary.

You must be able to provide an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one through Ortus Recruitment), proof of Right to Work in the UK and a minimum of 2 references.
