The Job Information:

• Position: Learning Mentor
• Pay: £80 – £100 per day, PAYE – No hidden Agency/Umbrella company fees
• Location: Camberwell
• Role: Full time, Long term (Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 16:00)

Here at Ortus Recruitment we have an amazing opportunity for someone with experience working in a school setting, working closely with pupils on a 1:1 and/or small group basis. The school is Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ and they are seeking someone to join their ever growing staff team and hit the ground running.

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who has worked alongside children in a school setting, aiding their development academically, socially and emotionally. Someone who is confident and experienced in leading 1:1 and small group interventions to assist the pupils who require additional support. The ideal candidate will be someone who is passionate about working alongside children and has a natural kind and nurturing nature.

To be considered for this role, candidates must have TWO obtainable childcare relevant references and have a clear Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment – £52

Within this role, the ideal candidate will be tasked with assisting the Class Teacher in supporting a Year 5 class. You will be required to work directly with the pupils, helping them with activities and tasks and undertaking administrative duties such as updating display boards and marking work.
