Job Title: Learning Mentor – PRU
Location: Thornton Heath, Croydon, Greater London
Salary: £90 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

An established PRU in Thornton Heath is seeking a committed Learning Mentor to guide students through challenges and inspire them to reach their potential. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy making a tangible difference in the lives of young people.

The Role:
You will support pupils aged 11–16, helping them engage with their education and develop skills for success in school and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work on a one-to-one or small group basis, offering emotional and academic support.
• Implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive engagement.
• Provide mentoring and encouragement to help students build confidence and resilience.
• Support reintegration programmes for pupils transitioning back into mainstream education.
• Collaborate with staff to implement tailored learning and behaviour plans.

About You:

• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH, challenging behaviours, or similar needs.
• A calm and empathetic approach, with strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of restorative approaches and behaviour management techniques.
• Passionate about making education accessible for all pupils.
