Learning Support Assistant
Ortus Recruitment are seeking a motivated and caring Graduate Learning Support Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Battersea, London. This role is perfect for graduates who are eager to work closely with children and support their learning and personal development, particularly in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with Special Educational Needs, focusing on Autism, ADHD, and SEMH.
- Assist in developing children’s social and emotional skills, helping them navigate challenges and build resilience.
- Support students’ academic progress, boosting their confidence and helping them engage with the curriculum.
- Collaborate closely with the SENCO, staff, and parents to monitor progress and adjust learning plans.
- Use your observation skills to track pupils development and assist with educational assessments.

- Full-time, term-time role (Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM) for the academic year 2024/2025.
- Pay ranging from £85-£105 per day (based on experience and qualifications), paid weekly via PAYE.

Ideal Candidate:
- A degree in Psychology, Therapy, Education Studies, or a similar field (A-Levels or BTEC considered).
- Genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth and well-being.
- Any previous experience working with children, whether professionally or in a voluntary capacity, will be beneficial but not essential.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and families.
- A proactive, positive attitude, with a deep commitment to helping children thrive academically, emotionally, and socially.
