About the Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide personalised support for children with additional needs. Your responsibilities will include:

• Offering 1:1 and small group support for pupils in KS1
• Supporting children with SEN to meet academic and developmental goals
• Assisting in the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)
• Encouraging inclusion and participation in classroom activities
• Providing support with daily routines, which may include elements of personal care
• Promoting a positive, safe, and nurturing learning environment

Candidate Requirements:

We are looking for someone who meets the following criteria:

• Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN)
• A minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is highly desirable
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting young learners
• A strong team player who is proactive and committed to the role
