Ortus Recruitment is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to help pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally within a nurturing primary school environment. We work closely with Ofsted-rated Good and Outstanding schools that value staff development, offer ongoing CPD opportunities, and provide strong pastoral support. We are currently recruiting a Year 3 Learning Support Assistant for a mainstream primary school in Norwood, starting immediately.

Role:

Year 3 Learning Support Assistant

• Job Type: Full-time, Long-term, Term-Time
• Location: Norwood
• Start Date: Immediate

You will work closely with the class teacher to support learning across the curriculum, provide targeted support to pupils who need additional help, and contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment. This role includes supporting pupils with additional learning needs, either through prior SEN experience or a willingness to develop skills in this area.

Learning Support Assistant Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related qualification (desirable)
• Previous experience working in a classroom setting
• Experience supporting children with SEN or openness to gaining hands-on SEN experience
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A patient, proactive, and nurturing approach
• Ability to support pupils with varying learning needs
