LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT
A ‘Good’ Ofsted rated primary school nestled in the heart of Tooting is actively seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their dynamic team. This rewarding position is set to commence immediately in October and is centered around providing exceptional support to students in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 (KS1). We are particularly interested in candidates passionate about working with students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). This role encompasses full-time engagement, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 4 pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering 1:1/group support, empowering students with ASC in their academic endeavors.
- Fostering social engagement, facilitating communication, and nurturing peer interactions for the students.
- Diligently monitor and chart the progress of students, maintaining open communication with parents/guardians, teachers, and relevant staff.
- Collaborate in developing effective strategies and accommodations to bolster learning and achievement.
- Uphold meticulous record-keeping, ensuring the accurate documentation of student progress and interventions.
Qualifications:
- A degree in a relevant field such as education, psychology, or a related discipline.
- Preferably, prior experience working with individuals with ASC.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in working both independently and as an integral part of a collaborative team.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a well-honed organizational acumen.
