Ortus Recruitment is working with an ‘Outstanding’ mainstream primary school located in Brimsdown, London borough of Enfield.

***Experience is not necessary. The school is willing to train candidates who show passion and are proactive during the interview stage***

The school is looking to employ a Teaching Assistant to support within Year 1 in a general capacity, as well as support students with low attainment or SEN on a one-to-one basis. There are a small number of children in each class who are Autistic.

You will be assisting the teacher in the delivery of lessons as well as leading group interventions and engaging in lunchtime activities. There are after-school clubs to get involved in as well. You will be paid overtime for any additional hours

The Ideal Candidate:

• Proactive and reliable
• Passionate about working with children
• At least 3-6 months of classroom experience (desirable)
• SEN experience
• Level 3 teaching qualification or degree educated

Candidates must:

• Have an enhanced DBS on the update service/ willing to apply for a new one
• Right to work in the UK
• 2 References
