Ortus Recruitment are working with an ‘Outstanding’ mainstream primary school located in Streatham, London borough of Lambeth.

The school are looking to employ a Teaching Assistant to support within KS1 in a general capacity, as well as support students with low attainment or SEN on a one-to-one basis. There are a small number of children in each class who are Autistic.

You will be assisting the teacher in the delivery of lessons as well as leading group interventions and engaging in lunchtime activities. There are after school clubs to get involved in as well. You will be paid overtime for any additional hours

The ideal Candidate:

• Proactive and reliable
• Passionate about working with children
• At least 3-6 months of classroom experience (desirable)
• SEN experience (desirable)
• Level 3 teaching qualification or degree educated
