Role: Learning Support Assistant

We are working closely with a lovely, inclusive Primary School in the London Borough of Barnet, who are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a child in Reception with ASC. He is non-verbal and requires someone who can be motivating and patient in order to support his speech and communication skills as well as aiding in his emotional and academic development.

You Must Have:

• Experience working with children who are non verbal
• Knowledge of signing e.g. Makaton to communicate
• Knowledge of intensive interaction and TEACHH approaches to supporting children
• A creative and flexible approach to teaching
