Ortus Recruitment are working alongside a mainstream primary school in Isleworth and they are looking for an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to commit to a full time-long term role. This role is an immediate start and the ideal candidate will need experience working with SEN, such as autism and ADHD.

This position offers a competitive a competitive daily rate of £80-£90 and the applicant should be proactive, reliable and dedicated. Experience with SEN and children in KS1/KS2 is desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Look after the children’s physical needs
• Carry out children care plans
• Help pupils understand instructions
• Support students during sport events and outings
• Comforting children when they are upset
• Watch, report and record children’s progress

Skills/Qualifications:

• A fully enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment (£52)
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Creative – to plan engaging learning activities for the students
• Ability to work independently and part as a team
• Be patient and calm during stressful situations
