A welcoming and inclusive primary school located in Clapham is looking to appoint an experienced Learning Support Assistant for a full-time, long-term position starting in January 2026. The school supports pupils from Early Years through to Year 6 and is well regarded for its nurturing environment, strong leadership, and collaborative staff team.

The successful candidate will provide 1:1 support to a Year 3 pupil with SEMH needs, helping them to access learning, manage emotions, and develop positive relationships throughout the school day. This role would suit a resilient, enthusiastic individual who is confident building strong rapport with pupils requiring additional behavioural and emotional support.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
• Confidence in managing challenging behaviour using positive behaviour strategies
• Experience working with pupils with autism
• Team Teach, MAPA or PRICE training (desirable but not essential)
• A background in youth work, behavioural support, social care, sports coaching, or recent graduates in Psychology, Education, English, Maths or Science
• Full flexibility and commitment to a long-term, full-time role
