Ortus Recruitment are currently looking for a dedicated individual with a passion for helping children exceed in their education. The candidate applying for this role will need to be able to commit to a full time – long term role as a Learning Support Assistant.

The role :

• Position: Learning Support Assistant
• Location: Long Ditton
• Full time – long term
• Immediate start
• PAYE (£80-£90)
• Monday-Friday (8:30am-4:00pm)

As a Learning Support Assistant you will:

• Help children understand instructions
• Ensuring children feel safe and comfortable
• Support children with their reading, writing and numeracy skills
• Meet the children’s emotional, social and physical needs
• Setting up the equipment before lessons

The ideal candidate should :

• Be assertive, patient and motivating
• Manage behaviour effectively
• Promote positive social, emotional and personal development
• Have experience working with children with SEN
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills
• Good knowledge of the KS2 curriculum
