Ortus Recruitment currently have a vacancy for a SEN Teaching Assistant role in a primary school in the Richmond LEA. If you are someone who wants to kickstart your career in the education sector or gain further experience then this is a great opportunity.

The school are looking for a confident hardworking individual who can have a positive effect on the students that they are responsible for.

You will be responsible for the wellbeing of a couple students that you will support throughout the year ensuring that they are enjoying school life. You will also monitor their behaviour and learning closely to see if there’s any techniques you can use to improve these.

Other students in the class may need your assistance but you should mainly focus on your designated students as they’ll require the extra support. There will be a lot of collaborative work with the class teacher planning and preparing lessons. These will have to be tailored to students that have additional needs to help develop their understanding as well.
