Ortus Recruitment are working alongside an amazing mainstream primary school, located in the Merton borough, to find a highly skilled learning support assistant. The school has been rated ‘Good’ by Oftsed and now are looking for a dedicated individual to work with their pupils.

If you are available full-time (Monday-Friday during term time) and have a passion for supporting young learners, please read on.

The ideal candidate will have :

• Experience working with EYFS – KS2, in an professional setting.
• A friendly, confident personality, serving as a positive role model for the student’s.
• Availability to work full-time from Monday to Friday, from 8.30 am to 4 pm.
• A degree in Education, Psychology, Sciences, Arts, or related fields is highly desirable, although applicants with degrees beyond these areas or relevant qualifications will also be considered.

Responsibilities will include :

• Helping to maintain a safe and stimulating environment.
• Assisting with the preparation and delivery of educational activities and lessons
• Providing support to children with a range of learning difficulties, including social and emotional needs.
• Building positive relationships with the staff, pupils and parents.
