Learning Support Assistant| Teddington| Full time-long term| PAYE £80-£90| Immediate start

Ortus Recruitment are working with a mainstream primary school in Teddington and they are looking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to commit to a full time-long term role. The ideal candidate will need experience working with young people, specifically children with Special Educational Needs.

Duties:

  • Provide support and assistance to individuals with special need, including children with autism
  • Asist in implementing individualized education plans and behaviour intervention plans
  • Support individuals in developing and improving their communication skills
  • Help create a safe environment for all individuals
  • Collaborate with a team of professionals to ensure the well-being and progress of each individual
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle challenging behaviours

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs or autism
  • Knowledge of special education principles or practices
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with individuals with special needs
