Ortus Recruitment is seeking an experienced, unqualified Learning Support Assistant to join one of our welcoming partnered primary schools in Southwark. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is confident working with children—particularly those with SEN—and is looking to make a real impact in the classroom.

🌟 Key Responsibilities:

• Support the headteacher and classroom teacher with daily lesson planning and classroom activities
• Provide 1:1 and small group support to children, helping them stay engaged and progress academically
• Assist children with learning difficulties and special educational needs, offering tailored support and care
• Prepare and organise learning materials, set up classrooms, and help tidy up after activities
• Carry out light admin tasks such as photocopying, filing, and displaying student work
• Build positive relationships with both students and parents to ensure a supportive learning environment
• Prioritise the health, safety, and wellbeing of all pupils at all times

• Experience working with SEN children (strongly preferred)

• Ability to build positive working relationships with teachers, pupils, and parents
