Level 3 Teaching Assistant | Sutton

Ortus Recruitment are seeking a confident and friendly Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant Ofsted rated “Good” school. You will be working within KS2, supporting the Teacher in the planning, preparation and delivery of lessons as well as supporting on a one-to-one basis pupils with SEN or low attainment levels.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant or recent graduate who is looking to progress their a career in education and expand on their skillset, as there is potential to receive Teacher training in future as well as a permanent position!

The successful candidate / Teaching Assistant will be required to:

• Support children with their learning and development during lessons or activities as directed by the class teacher.

• Assess and record children’s attainment and progress.

• Lead small group sessions and interventions according to Teacher’s planning.

• Promote the general progress and well-being of pupils in your class/group.

• Supervise pupils during playtimes.

• Participate in Performance Management activities and also further training and professional development sessions as they arise.

• Demonstrate a good standard of written and spoken English and a good subject knowledge of Mathematics.

Candidates must:

– Hold a Level 3 qualification

– Have an Enhanced DBS on the update service / be willing to apply for one

– Right to work in the UK

– Provide 2 references
