The Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students who require additional help with their learning across various year groups. Working closely with teachers, you’ll help deliver personalized educational programs that cater to each student’s individual needs, encouraging their growth both in and out of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized one-on-one and small group support, ensuring every student stays engaged and maximizes their learning potential.
- Collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver lessons that make the curriculum accessible for all students.
- Adapt resources and teaching strategies to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring each child receives tailored assistance.
- Create a positive and nurturing learning environment that builds students’ confidence, independence, and enthusiasm for learning.
- Monitor and record student progress, sharing valuable insights with teachers and contributing to assessments.
- Build strong, positive relationships with students, parents, and staff to promote a cohesive, supportive learning community.
About You:
We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic individual who is committed to making a difference in students’ lives. The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting.
- An understanding of SEN and experience adapting support for students with diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a supportive learning environment.
- A proactive and flexible mindset, with a genuine passion for student well-being and development.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or similar fields are desirable.
- Prior experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role is highly valued.
