Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs (SEN) and learning difficulties.
- Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapting learning materials to meet diverse needs.
- Support classroom teachers in creating accessible and engaging lessons.
- Help students develop social, emotional, and academic skills.
- Monitor and document student progress, and communicate findings to teachers and parents.
- Conduct small group or one-on-one interventions to reinforce learning.
- Promote an inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages respect and equality.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Person Specification:
- A genuine passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, or SEN are advantageous but not essential.
- A good standard of education, with GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent) at grade C/4 or above.
