A welcoming primary school in Coulsdon is seeking a Nursery SEN Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support to children in their early years of education.

The Role:
As a Nursery SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with the class teacher to create a nurturing and supportive environment, helping children with SEN build essential foundations for learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small-group support to Nursery pupils with developmental delays or sensory needs.
• Assist in delivering engaging, play-based activities that encourage social and emotional development.
• Implement strategies to support children with speech and language difficulties.
• Work collaboratively with the SENCO to track progress and adapt support as needed.
• Promote a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.

About You:

• Experience working with SEN pupils in an Early Years setting.
• Familiarity with interventions such as Makaton, PECs, or sensory play activities.
• Patient, kind, and enthusiastic about helping children achieve their potential.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
