Position Overview: As a PMLD Teaching Assistant in Richmond, your role is instrumental in providing essential support and care to students with complex learning needs. Your primary responsibility is to establish a secure, inclusive, and enriching learning environment that empowers each student to achieve their full potential academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one support to students with PMLD.
• Collaborate in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Craft and adapt teaching materials to suit each student’s unique needs.
• Assist students with daily activities, including personal care and mobility.
• Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
• Work closely with teachers and therapists to optimize student development.
• Maintain meticulous records of student progress and behavior.

Requirements:

• Prior experience working with students with PMLD is highly desirable.
