PMLD Teaching Assistant

Location – Richmond

Ortus recruitment are looking for a Teaching Assistant in the Richmond area to work in a Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties school. This is a brilliant opportunity for anybody who is looking to help these children out and create a strong bond and relationship with them. If you believe that you have the skills to support and improve these children’s life, then this is the role for you.

You’ll be working with children who have Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties, this means that you will need to be extremely patient and approachable. You’ll dedicate your time both on 1:1 and group learning, as apart of your group activity you will be socialising the children with each other and trying to get them to create relationships with the other children.

The school are a highly reputable Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties school (PMLD). The staff are experienced professionals and will help you along the way, both adapting into the school and helping you set-up activities for the children.

You’ll be tasked to help the teacher, whether this be socialising the children or setting up activities for them to complete to make sure that they’re staying activity and happy. Skills you will need…

• Have an understanding on children with PMLD difficulties.

• Be patient and approachable when working.

Job Details.

• Salary – £85-£95 per day, paid weekly.

• Schedule – Monday-Friday, 8:30AM-4:00pm.
