A two – form primary school based in the heart of Battersea are currently searching for a learning support assistant to support a KS2 pupil with challenging behaviour on a 1:1 basis. The School is situated only a 10-minute walk away from Clapham Junction station which is conveniently served by the District Line.

Your role will in the school will be to assist a child inside and outside of the classroom, encouraging and motivating them through their learning and social aspects. Other duties may include all round behavioural support, clarifying and explaining instructions, assisting in any weaker areas the children may have academically and meeting physical needs as required, whilst encouraging independence and developing appropriate resources to support the students.

Requirements:

• You must have experience in working in a similar role
• Have genuine passion developing young vulnerable students skillsets  
• Have the ability to incorporate your own strategies to adhere to the needs of the child and encourage learning
• Be able to commit to full time work hours (08:30AM to 16:00PM)

The successful candidate will be an experienced assistant, with the ability to encourage learning and also have the ability to deliver a patient and calm demeanour.
