Ortus Recruitment are working on behalf of a thriving and diverse school located in Hounslow, West London who are seeking to recruit an proactive Graduate SEN teaching assistant on a long-term basis.

We are looking to appoint this enthusiastic teaching assistant to assist a class teacher in class, and the school have the flexibility for the role to be in any Key Stage (EYFS, KS1 or KS2).

You will be working alongside the class teacher across the class to provide a high standard of support, this will involve small group intervention and 1:1 SEN support, so you will need to be able to plan, deliver and monitor work to meet the needs of the schools and individual pupil’s Education, Health and Care Plans (EHSPs).

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant in EYFS, KS1 or KS2 who has the following attributes:

• Minimum 2:2 degree qualification
• Confident and capable across the primary curriculum
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with children
• Experience or Knowledge of SEN support
• Empathy and understanding of children’s differentiated learning abilities
• Patience and a good sense of humour
• Proactive and flexible attitude
