Ortus Recruitment are looking for a highly motivated individual with experience working with EYFS-KS2, and ready to commit to a challenging but highly rewarding teaching assistant role in a mainstream primary school.

As a Primary Teaching Assistant your role will include, working 1:1 with students, helping teachers plan and deliver lessons and looking after the children’s emotional, social and physical welfare.

Th individual applying for this role will need to have the ability to stay calm in stressful situations and react to challenging behaviour in an appropriate manner. You will also need to have good numeracy and literacy skills seen as you will be supporting children 1:1 in their academic studies. Furthermore being creative is a bonus, because you should be able to contribute creative ideas when planning lessons, to make them more fun, keeping the students engaged.
