PRU Learning Support Assistant.

Location: Richmond.

Ortus recruitment are looking for a Learning Support Assistant in the area of Richmond, working with children inside a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU). This is an exciting role and a great opportunity for anyone looking to expand their skills working with children who have some problems with behaviour difficulties. You’ll be working both 1:1 and in a group with children, most of the time you’ll be working within a classroom environment.

This school is in the heart of Richmond, it’s a very reputable school with great resources so you can really help your child adapt to your way of teaching. This also means that you can create good activities for the children, this will help them socialising with each other. You’ll need to create a 1:1 bond with the children you’re working, they will start to recognise you as part of their daily curriculum so creating a relationship with them is very important. The staff are very helpful and welcoming people, they will make sure that you adapt to the children’s way of learning.

What can you be expected to do.

This is a brilliant opportunity for any aspiring teachers, you’ll have to be a very talkative person who can interact with both staff and children. You’ll have to create activities for the children, so you will have to become very organised.

The position.

This role is a full-time, long-term role. You’ll be working Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm.
