Ortus Recruitment is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Psychology Graduate to join a vibrant primary school located in Wandsworth. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday (08:30am – 16:00pm), where you will be supporting the classroom as a Teaching Assistant. The school has earned a ‘Good’ rating from Ofsted and offers a supportive and collaborative environment, with a leadership team that is committed to the professional growth of its staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in Psychology and a passion for working with young children to support their learning and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons to primary-aged students.
• Providing one-on-one and small group support to students who may need extra help to reach their academic potential.
• Helping prepare and implement engaging and interactive learning activities.
• Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to the class teacher to support effective learning outcomes.
• Engaging in regular professional development, including CPD courses, to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Key Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Sport Science, Drama, or a related field.
• Previous experience working with primary-aged children, either through teaching assistant roles or volunteer work.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well within a team.
• A genuine desire to help children learn and develop in a supportive, inclusive environment.
• Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday (08:30am – 16:00pm), term time only.

Salary and Benefits:

• Daily rate of £89 to £105 per day PAYE (no umbrella companies).
