Qualified Teaching Assistant

Ortus Recruitment is delighted to partner with a highly respected mainstream primary school in West Dulwich to offer a fantastic opportunity for a passionate, dedicated, and qualified Teaching Assistant. The school is looking for an individual with a genuine love for Early Years education and development to join their supportive team.

Role Overview:
This full-time position is ideal for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with a minimum Level 2 Early Years qualification (Level 3 is highly preferred). The successful candidate will have the chance to work in a nurturing environment, supporting children primarily in the Kindergarten and Pre-Reception classes, with potential opportunities to work with older children in future academic years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality support to children in Early Years, assisting in the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to maintain a positive, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Foster strong relationships with students, offering tailored support for those with Special Educational Needs (experience in this area is beneficial but not required).
  • Contribute to the school’s ethos of excellence in Early Childhood Education and Development.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 2 Early Years qualification (Level 3 is highly preferred).
  • Experience in Early Years education is an advantage.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s development and learning.
  • Experience with Special Educational Needs is desirable, but not essential.
  • A positive, compassionate, and proactive approach to working with children.
