A primary school in Addiscombe is seeking a Reception SEN Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support for children with additional learning needs. This role is ideal for someone with experience in Early Years who is eager to make a positive difference in the lives of young children.

The Role:
As a Reception SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with the class teacher to support students with SEN in their early stages of learning. This includes providing one-on-one and small group assistance, helping children develop essential skills in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group support to Reception students with SEN, such as speech and language delays and social communication needs.
• Adapt learning materials to support each child’s needs.
• Encourage positive behaviour and help manage classroom activities.
• Assist in the development of social and emotional skills through play and structured activities.
• Collaborate with the SENCO and class teacher to track progress and implement strategies.

About You:

• Experience working with SEN children in an Early Years setting.
• Familiarity with SEN strategies and behaviour management in young children.
• Patient, nurturing, and committed to early childhood development.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
