A welcoming primary school in Addiscombe is seeking a Reception SEN Teaching Assistant to help young children thrive in their first year of school.

The Role:
As a Reception SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide crucial support to pupils with SEN, fostering a positive and inclusive environment where they can develop both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver one-on-one and small-group support for Reception pupils with SEN, such as developmental delays and autism.
• Assist in planning and implementing engaging play-based learning activities.
• Use sensory tools and strategies to help pupils regulate emotions and maintain focus.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt lesson content to suit individual needs.
• Support the development of social skills and early communication abilities.

About You:

• Experience working with SEN pupils in an Early Years setting.
• Knowledge of SEN strategies, such as Makaton and sensory integration techniques.
• Patient, nurturing, and dedicated to helping children succeed.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
