The Role:
As a Reception SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment for young children. You will provide targeted support to ensure all students feel confident and included in their learning journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer one-on-one and group support for Reception students with SEN, including developmental delays and sensory needs.
- Help adapt activities to suit individual learning requirements.
- Encourage communication and social skills through structured and play-based activities.
- Liaise with the SENCO and teachers to implement effective strategies.
- Monitor progress and celebrate milestones in students’ development.
About You:
- Experience working with SEN children, especially in Early Years settings.
- Knowledge of SEN approaches, such as using sensory tools and visual aids.
- Warm, patient, and enthusiastic about early childhood education.
- Strong organisational and teamwork skills.
