A primary school in Shirley is seeking a Reception SEN Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated support to children with SEN in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This role offers a unique opportunity to help young learners overcome challenges and reach their full potential.

The Role:
As a Reception SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide one-on-one and small group support to children with SEN, including those with developmental delays, autism, and communication difficulties. You will work closely with the class teacher to create a positive and supportive learning environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to Reception students with SEN.
• Assist with adapting lesson plans and activities to meet individual learning needs.
• Support the development of early literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
• Help manage behaviour and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere.
• Work closely with the SENCO and class teacher to monitor progress and adjust support as needed.

About You:

• Experience working with SEN students, ideally in an Early Years setting.
• Knowledge of SEN strategies and techniques to support students effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to helping children succeed.
