SEN EYFS TEACHING ASSISTANT
Ortus Recruitment is seeking a talented and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to join our partnered school in Streatham. This is a full-time role, starting immediately, working hours of 8:30am to 4:00pm during term time only (Monday to Friday no weekends).
The school has a very supportive and friendly senior leadership team, who offer training to candidates that want to develop within the field of education for children with special needs. Also, it is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience that will help your career long-term as the school are also willing to offer permanent contracts for candidates who perform well over a period of time. (Temp to Perm)

Responsibilities:
- Supporting the classroom teacher in delivering the EYFS curriculum
- Providing individual and small group support to children with special educational needs
- Assisting with the planning and delivery of activities that meet the diverse needs of all children
- Encouraging children’s development and promoting positive behaviour
- Helping children with learning difficulties, such as Autism and Dyslexia
- Assisting with the preparation and organization of learning materials and resources
- Supporting children with physical, emotional, or social needs
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of children’s progress and development
Requirements:
- Relevant experience of working with children with special educational needs in an EYFS setting
- Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent
- Good knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and framework
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Positive, flexible and proactive approach to work
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
