Ortus recruitment are currently seeking an individual to work full-time in a school in the Croydon area as a SEN Learning Support Assistant.

The ideal candidate should have some previous experience working with SEN and a strong academic background.

The school has an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ for their last report and a strong leadership team that help provide a high-quality standard of education.

The role will consist of working with a teacher, planning and organising lessons. You will also be supervising activities in the classroom and supporting SEN pupils 1:1 with their learning and development.

We are looking for

• Level 2 or 3 qualification ideally but not essential.
• Experience supporting SEN pupils.
• Relevant previous experience working with children.
• A strong academic background able to keep up with curriculum.
• Someone who can work full time.
• A clear and effective communicator.
