We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join the committed team at a mainstream primary school and play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tailored Support: Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students with learning difficulties, special educational needs (SEN), or those requiring additional support.
• Classroom Assistance: Collaborate with teachers in managing the classroom, setting up activities, and supporting lesson plans to ensure all students can participate fully.
• Resource Adaptation: Assist in creating and modifying teaching materials to meet the individual learning styles and needs of students.
• Positive Environment: Foster an inclusive and encouraging classroom environment where every student feels valued and confident.
• Behavioural Guidance: Help manage student behaviour, offering guidance and promoting positive attitudes towards learning.
• Progress Monitoring: Track and report students’ progress, communicating any concerns or improvements with teachers and parents.

• Experience: Previous experience in education or working with children is preferred but not mandatory—enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are key!

Qualifications:

• Additional qualifications related to education or SEN support (desirable)
• DBS check or equivalent background screening (required)
