SEN Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join the committed team at a mainstream primary school and play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tailored Support: Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students with learning difficulties, special educational needs (SEN), or those requiring additional support.
- Classroom Assistance: Collaborate with teachers in managing the classroom, setting up activities, and supporting lesson plans to ensure all students can participate fully.
- Resource Adaptation: Assist in creating and modifying teaching materials to meet the individual learning styles and needs of students.
- Positive Environment: Foster an inclusive and encouraging classroom environment where every student feels valued and confident.
- Behavioural Guidance: Help manage student behaviour, offering guidance and promoting positive attitudes towards learning.
- Progress Monitoring: Track and report students’ progress, communicating any concerns or improvements with teachers and parents.

- Experience: Previous experience in education or working with children is preferred but not mandatory—enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are key!
Qualifications:
- Additional qualifications related to education or SEN support (desirable)
- DBS check or equivalent background screening (required)
