SEN Learning Support Assistant – Primary School in Colindale

Our recruitment agency is currently seeking a compassionate and committed SEN Learning Support Assistant to work in a vibrant primary school located in Colindale. This role is perfect for someone who is experienced in supporting children with SEN and is eager to contribute to their academic, social, and emotional development.

The Role:

• Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH needs.
• Assisting the class teacher in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Implementing personalised education plans and behaviour management strategies.
• Encouraging the development of communication, social, and independence skills.
• Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to ensure consistent support.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school setting.
• Knowledge of SEN strategies, including visual aids and sensory interventions.
• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children.
• A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
• Team Teach or similar training is desirable but not essential.
