Salary: £85 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

Do you have the skills and dedication to support young learners in their educational journey? We are seeking a committed SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a diverse and inclusive school in Thornton Heath, Croydon.
The Role:
As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with students who require additional support with their learning, including those with autism, dyslexia, and other learning difficulties. You will play a key role in assisting teachers, adapting lessons, and providing individualised support to help students achieve their best.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, helping them access the curriculum and develop confidence in their abilities.
- Assist in creating and adapting learning resources to meet the needs of students with diverse learning needs.
- Work collaboratively with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and personalised learning strategies.
- Support the social, emotional, and behavioural development of students, using positive reinforcement and appropriate interventions.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the SENCO and class teacher.
- Encourage independence and self-esteem in students by offering a nurturing and supportive environment.
About You:
We are looking for an empathetic, patient, and motivated individual who is passionate about supporting students with SEN. The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting.
- A good understanding of SEN strategies and the ability to adapt support to individual needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications in education, SEN, or childcare are desirable.
- Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role is highly valued.
