A primary school in Thornton Heath is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 5 pupil with ADHD, helping them stay engaged and focused in a classroom setting.

The Role:

• Provide one-to-one support for a pupil with ADHD, helping with concentration and behaviour management.
• Use strategies such as movement breaks and visual schedules to aid learning.
• Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour reinforcement.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and the SENCO to adapt lessons.
• Foster confidence and encourage participation in class activities.

About You:

• Experience supporting children with ADHD and behaviour needs.
• Understanding of de-escalation strategies and behaviour management techniques.
• Patient, calm, and positive approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
