Role Overview:

As a Learning Support Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a Year 3 child with Autism, providing 1:1 support and assisting the class teacher. You’ll play a vital role in creating a nurturing and productive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 1:1 Support: Work directly with an Autistic child in Year 3, assisting with their educational and social development.
  • Classroom Assistance: Help the class teacher with various tasks and support the entire class when necessary.
  • Supervision: Care for and supervise children during break times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Behavior Management: Effectively manage challenging behavior to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
  • Parental Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, keeping them informed about their child’s progress.
