Salary: £90 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

Do you have experience supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
A vibrant primary school in Thornton Heath is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 student with SEMH needs, helping them develop confidence, self-regulation, and positive learning behaviours.
The Role:
- Provide one-to-one emotional and behavioural support to a Year 4 student.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques.
- Support the student in developing coping mechanisms and self-regulation skills.
- Work closely with the SENCO and class teacher to implement personalised strategies.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
About You:
- Experience working with children with SEMH needs is desirable.
- Understanding of behaviour management strategies and trauma-informed approaches.
- A calm, patient, and nurturing approach to SEN support.
- Ability to build trusting relationships with students and staff.
