SEN Teaching Assistant – SEMH Support (Year 4)

Location: Croydon, Greater London
Salary: £90 – £100 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Start Date: Immediate Start

Do you have experience supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
A welcoming primary school in Croydon is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to work one-to-one with a Year 4 student who requires emotional and behavioural support in the classroom.

The Role:

  • Provide individual support for a Year 4 student with SEMH needs.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to support emotional regulation.
  • Work closely with the SENCO and class teacher to implement an EHCP.
  • Encourage social skills, confidence, and engagement in learning.
  • Support positive behaviour and well-being through structured interventions.

About You:

  • Experience working with children with SEMH needs is desirable.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a nurturing approach.
  • Understanding of emotional regulation techniques.
  • A patient, proactive, and resilient attitude.
